COMING FALL 2025! FULL-LENGTH COURSE

Medical Terminology

Prepare students for future careers in healthcare by building a foundation in medical knowledge! Students will learn how to speak the language of medicine, explore how the body works, understand common conditions, and discover the wide range of careers in the medical field—all through interactive games, real-world scenarios, and engaging activities.

Featured Engagement Activities

Each Nucleus course features engagement-optimized activities, including real-world simulations, real technology tools, and collaborative group activities in a gamified classroom setting. Highlights of some of our engaging activities for the Medical Terminology course include:

Interactive Medical Scenarios

Students work with in-class partners or AI-powered chatbots to make decisions as medical providers would in real-life clinical scenarios. Students are presented with a hypothetical patient scenario and asked to make recommendations for the patient’s care, based on the lesson materials. Students walk away with a greater understanding of how medical professionals diagnose, treat, and manage medical conditions!

Smart Squares

In this interactive game, students must answer questions to connect spaces on a digital game board, similar to BINGO. Students “spin” and select a number on the game board, revealing a question that tests the students’ knowledge of medical terminology. The square is checked for correct answers, until a student completes a line on the board the fastest to win!

Medical Image Labeling

Students must identify and correctly label complex illustrations depicting different components or systems in the human body, drawing from the knowledge they gained during the lesson, and reinforcing their familiarity with medical terms and correct anatomical positioning!
