Self-Awareness
SEL MODULE 1

In this module, students learn how to:​

​Better understand emotions, thoughts, and behaviors

Gain a sense of their core values and mindset

Practice techniques to build self-awareness

In the Self-Awareness lesson's Nucleus Activity, students complete a guided mindfulness exercise and an in-depth Self-Assessment Quiz specially designed to deepen their sense of self.
Self-Management
SEL MODULE 2

In this module, students learn how to:​

​Manage difficult situations and stress in their lives

Set and achieve short- and long-term goals
-
Identify and improve day-to-day habits​
​
In the Self-Management lesson's Nucleus Activity, students complete a reflective stress management exercise and practice goal-setting using an interactive goal-setting framework.
Social Awareness
SEL MODULE 3

In this module, students learn how to:​

​Understand the ways that people are shaped by their heredity, environment, and life experiences

Identify and counteract different types of biases
-
Develop more empathy towards others​
​
In the Nucleus Activity, students challenge their biases in The Numbers Game, explore their life situations, and complete a thought-provoking empathy exercise.
Relationship Skills
SEL MODULE 4

In this module, students learn how to:​

​Better understand the relationships in their lives

Identify different communication styles​

Navigate conflicts more effectively
​
In the Nucleus Activity, students analyze and compare communication styles and reflect on three real-life relationships to value strong bonds and practice situational awareness and conflict resolution.
Responsible Decision-Making
SEL MODULE 5

In this module, students learn how to:​

​Identify obstacles to good decision-making

Utilize strategies to make better decisions

Implement decision-making frameworks

In the Nucleus Activity, students practice learning from a bad decision they made, then they use a decision-making framework to evaluate a major life decision that they have to make now or in the future.
SEL Trivia
SEL MODULE 6

In this module, students play a riveting, SEL-themed game of Nucleus Trivia!
In this Jeopardy-style trivia game, students answer questions testing the knowledge they've learned during the SEL course. If they get the questions right, they earn points for their teams!
This interactive game reinforces the course lessons and is always a huge hit with students.
