FULL-LENGTH COURSE
Marketing Foundations
Marketing Foundations introduces students to core marketing concepts, career pathways, and the research skills behind business decision-making. Students explore topics like consumer behavior, SWOT analysis, personal selling, and marketing plan development through real-world scenarios.
Featured Engagement Activities
Each Nucleus course features engagement-optimized activities, including real-world simulations, real technology tools, and collaborative group activities in a gamified classroom setting. Highlights of some of our engaging activities for the Marketing Foundations course include:

Research Playbook
Students step into the role of a research consultant in this interactive simulator and guide a business through the marketing research process. They define research questions, choose between primary and secondary data sources, weigh qualitative versus quantitative approaches, and select specific collection methods, all tailored to the client's budget, timeline, and business situation.

Marketing Career Explorer
Students explore marketing career pathways through an interactive simulator, comparing education requirements, salary ranges, and growth prospects across marketing occupations. They take a career interest inventory, research real job openings, and build a personalized career plan and résumé.

Price Builder
Students run pricing decisions for a real product scenario through a dashboard-style simulator with three connected workspaces. They calculate true product cost, set markup using both methods (on cost vs. on selling price), visualize break-even points on a live chart, experiment with strategies like penetration and skimming pricing, and apply markdowns to see margins shift in real time.

Launch Lab
Students walk a single product from idea to market in this interactive simulator, progressing through all seven stages of new product development, from idea generation through commercialization. They evaluate feasibility, build a marketing mix plan, and learn why quality assurance matters for customer satisfaction and brand credibility.
